Few days ago a bought a Lamy pen. After working with a Parker and playing with a Cerruti, I friend of mine told me to try Lamy.

Lamy is a german independent family-owned enterprise which was established in 1930 by C. Josef Lamy in Heidelberg. Lamy pens, are very slim, light and flexible, the model I boght a fountain pen. Cylindrical body with sprung, axle-mounted clip made of solid stainless steel. Matt black lacquer finish. Steel nib, polished. The coolest thing of this model is that there are available nib grades: extra fine (EF) / fine (F) / medium (M) / broad (B).

Some days ago I discovered this website through a friend of mine.
I still don’t know who did this design, but Afrobeat font, has been used for a big campaign, iphone app, and website.
Sounds funny to me.
Today is exactly one year of Afrobeat Font!

Studio XAG is Xavier Sheriff and Gemma Ruse.

Since meeting in 2004 whilst studying at Central St Martins, they have worked both collaboratively and independently, designing, art directing, illustrating and prop making for retail display, with clients including Diesel, Bertie, Topshop, Oasis, Odille & Whistles. Projects range from bespoke installations, to design and production of entire shop refits & nationwide window schemes.
